Proverbs 19: Priceless Integrity

Proverbs 19:1 Better is a poor person who walks in his integrity; than one who is crooked in speech and is a fool.

Integrity is an endangered character trait today. Having high morales that do not get compromised for any reason just isn’t very popular. Those who read and apply the word of God though know that, popular or not, integrity is much more valuable than popularity.

Here scripture shows us that better would it be to have nothing but your integrity; than everything without it. Who you are is more important than what you have. The bible is pretty uncompromising. Jesus and God are pretty uncompromising in their integrity. Something is either right, or it isn’t. Often this is not how we live. According to God’s word though, it would be better us to have no friends and no money, than compromise our integrity and place in heaven.
