Proverbs 31: 8-9 Defending Others

Proverbs 31:8 Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves;
ensure justice for those being crushed.
9 Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.

A great verse for us to teach our children and ourselves. As Christians we are not supposed to ignore injustice, we should be lights against it. If you read the bible, you find that being a Christian is a lifestyle lived on purpose. Every time I read about bullying in school, I think to myself, “where are the Christian kids?” Why do we not teach our children to defend others?

The best way to do teach our children Proverbs 31:18 is to live the example. We should be helping others when they are in need. If someone is having car trouble, do you drive by? When out with your friends, do you mock one another? Do you mock others? It is surprising, if we listen to ourselves, just how much we look down on others. That is our flesh, and we are supposed to listen to our spirit.
